Step 6 Delete Unwanted Images

Press the
l button to delete the image
currently displayed in the monitor.

Press the multi selector
H or I to select the
desired deletion method and press the
k
button.
• Current image: Only the current image is deleted.
• Erase selected images: Multiple images can be
selected and deleted. See “Operating the Erase
Selected Images Screen” (
A35) for more information.
• All images: All images are deleted.
• To exit without deleting, press the
d button.

H or I to select Yes and press the k
button.
• Deleted images cannot be recovered.
• To cancel, press
H or I to select No and press the k
button.

Notes About Deletion
• Deleted images cannot be recovered. Copy important images to a computer or other media
before deleting them from the camera.
• Protected images (
A79) cannot be deleted.

Deleting Images in a Sequence
• If you press the
l button and delete a key picture while only key pictures are displayed for
sequences of images (
A32), all images in the sequence, including the key picture, are deleted.
• To delete individual images in a sequence, press the
k button to display them one at a time and
press the
l button.

Deleting the Last Image Captured While in Shooting Mode
When using shooting mode, press the
l button to delete the last image that was saved.
