Auto Updating—Automatically Keep Your Mac
on the Cutting Edge
What You Can Do
Connect to the Internet and use Software Update (in System Preferences) to automatically
download and install the latest software versions, drivers, and other enhancements from
Apple. Software Update instantly checks the Apple Internet servers to see if any updates are
available for your computer. You can set your Mac to check the Apple server periodically and
download and install updated software for you.
