Recommended Cables and Cable Specifications

The cable between the switch and the link partner (hub, workstation) must be
less than 100 m (328 ft) long. 10Base-T segments can use 22, 24 or 26-gauge
TP cabling that complies with IEEE 802.3 10Base-T standard for Category 3,
4 or 5. 100Base-TX segments must use IEEE 802.3u compliant Category 5 TP
cable.

The AT-FS200 family of switches use three types of cabling:

UTP/STP cable (RJ45 connector) for both 10/100Base-TX

Fiber optics cable (ST/SC connector) for 100Base-FX

Table 2 provides an overview of IEEE 802.3 and 802.3u cabling specifications
for 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, and 100Base-FX network configurations using
twisted-pair cable and fiber optics.
