Installing the Unit on a Desktop
To wall-mount the switch on a wall, refer to
“Installing the Unit on a Wall” on page 29.
To install the switch on the desktop, perform
the following procedure.
1. Attach the four self-adhesive rubber feet to
the bottom of the device, positioning them in
the indentations.
2. Place the device on a flat, level surface.
Warning
The power cord is used as a
disconnection device. To de-energize
equipment, disconnect the power cord.

3. Plug the power adapter into a power source
and then plug the DC power cord into the DC
connector on the front panel of the switch.
4. Make sure the PWR LED on the front panel
is green. If the LED is OFF, refer to
“Troubleshooting” on page 32.
5. Connect the twisted pair cables to the twisted
pair ports on the switch and on the end-
nodes.
