7. Using TeleNav
Launching the Application
To launch TeleNav on your phone, press the Menu key, highlight Java Apps (or the Java Apps icon) and press the
OK key. In the Java Apps menu, highlight TeleNav (or the TeleNav icon), and press the OK key. From this point
on in this guide, key presses refer to the Option Keys below the screen labels bearing the key functional names.
After starting TeleNav, the banner screen will appear for a few seconds. If this is the first time you use TeleNav, the
next screens will explain what it is, and how to get signed up for TeleNav service.
Logging In
If you choose to use any of the paid services, you will be asked if you have a TeleNav account and Nextel Total
Connect packet data service. If you have already created a TeleNav account and ordered Total Connect, press
YES, but if not, click NO; and
1. Go to www.telenav.com using a PC-based Web browser to create an account, or
2. Call 1-88-TeleNav-4 for customer service.
Next you must agree to the TeleNav software license and terms of use by pressing YES.
