1. When you receive an incoming call, the Sony Head Unit will lock out and allow you to use your phone.
Once the call ends, the Head Unit will unlock, and your navigation session will continue at your current
point along the route.
2. When you make a call from the Sony Head Unit (for example, calling a business), the Head Unit will
lock out and allow you to use your phone. Once the call ends, choose the Telenav GPS app on the
phone to continue using the app on the Head Unit.
Why do the control buttons gray out on the Sony AV Center while I am driving?
As a safety feature, the Sony Head Unit will gray out the control buttons to prevent you from interacting with it while the
vehicle is moving above 5MPH (8KPH). When the car has slowed below this speed or stopped, the buttons will be active
again, allowing you or a passenger in the vehicle to interact with it.
If the Sony Head Unit is not recognizing the connection to my iPhone or is “freezing” when connected, what
can I do to ensure that it recognizes my device?
Be sure to use the original Apple USB cable (RC-202IPV) to plug your iPhone into the Sony Head Unit. You may need
to also take the following troubleshooting steps:
Make sure the Telenav app is running and visible on BOTH the iPhone and the Head Unit. If you
happen to switch to the iPhone Home screen, the vehicle display will stop showing the map, and a
pop-up message will prompt you to re-launch the Telenav GPS app.
Unplug and then re-plug the cable.
Turn the Head Unit (or car) off and then back on.
Exit the Telenav GPS app and re-launch it.
