14. Sony Car Connect Integration
If your vehicle supports Sony Car Connect, you can plug in your iPhone to seamlessly view Telenav GPS Navigator
features on your car’s Sony AV Center (Head Unit). Supported features include POI Search and full map navigation.
Navigation audio from the app will play through your car’s speakers.
NOTE: In order to use TeleNav GPS Navigator with the vehicle, the app must already be installed on your phone. You
will need a Premium subscription to access the Sony Car Connect feature. You can upgrade to a Premium subscription
at any time directly from your device. The Sony Car Integration feature is only applicable to iPhones 4 and 4S. iPhones
3GS and lower are not supported due to technical limitations.
If you have an XAV-601BT model Sony device, you may need to update the firmware to the latest version
(HR04_xav_1.12.001 or above) before you can use the Car Connect feature.
You can check your firmware version on the Head Unit by choosing Sony Home screen >> General Settings >>
Firmware Version.
