1976-86 Jeep CJ Tilt Dash Mount Installation Instructions
For Part #’s 2312600051
The original 1976-86 Jeep CJ Series vehicles had two different mounting systems for holding the steering column
to the dash. If your Jeep originally had a straight column (non-tilt) you will use your OE mount. If you originally
had a tilt steering column, you will need this bracket to mount the ididit column in place of the original.
Installation:
First, bolt the bracket to the dash using the
original bolts. Put the bolts through the
holes marked “A” in the bracket.
Second, place the column in the bracket
and using the 5/16-18 bolts and washers
provided, attach the steering column to the
bracket using the “B” mount locations.
