Reset sequence
If the IP address or username and password to log in are not know, it will be necessary
to reset the N-664 to factory defaults in order to access the administration web interface.
The reset procedure will set all unit settings to their factory defaults.
To reset the N-664 perform the following steps:
Disconnect power from the N-664
Disconnect any attached serial and contact connections if present
Connect a null-modem cable from serial port 1 to serial port 4 as shown
Null Modem Cable between ports 1 and 4
Connect power to the N-664
Wait for the LED test sequence to complete
Disconnect power from the N-664
Disconnect the serial loop-back cable
The N-664 will now be reset to factory default configuration. This will reset all user-
configurable settings, including network address, username and password, and all
contact and serial interface settings.
