3 Push the socket retainer lever handle down and away from the
socket to release it, then pull the lever to a fully open, upright
position.
4 Lift the load plate (A) and remove the protective socket cover (B).
5 Remove the CPU from its protective packaging.
6 Position the CPU over the socket (A), making sure the CPU cutouts
match the socket notches, then insert the CPU into the socket (B).
7 Close the load plate (A), then press the retainer lever down to lock
the load plate in place (B, C).
8 If the heat sink does not have thermal grease on the bottom, apply
thermal grease to the heat sink base.
9 Set the heat sink on the processor, aligning the four screws in the
heat sink with the screw sockets in the chassis.
10 Tighten the screws approximately one full turn at a time until each
is evenly tightened. Do not fully tighten one screw at a time.
