4. Remove the battery (see Inserting or removing the battery on page 43 ).
5. Remove the service door (see Removing or replacing the service door on page 57 ).
6. Remove the hard drive or optical drive from the upgrade bay (see Replacing a drive in the
upgrade bay on page 63 ).
7. Remove the keyboard:
a. With the computer upside down, loosen the three captive keyboard screws on the bottom of
the computer.
b. Turn the computer on its side with the display open to access the upgrade bay. Gently push
the release tab up as shown to release the keyboard.
