If an older version of the package exists, remove the older iscsi-initiator-utils RPM package using the
following command:
# rpm -e iscsi-initiator-utils
Verify that the old package has been removed using the following command:
# rpm -q iscsi-initiator-utils

Install the iscsi-initiator-utils binary RPM package using the following command:
# rpm -ivh RPMS/
6.
Start the iscsi daemon using the following command:
#/etc/init.d/iscsi start
Uninstalling the HP NC-Series iSCSI offload initiator utilities for Red Hat
If you need to uninstall the HP NC-Series iSCSI offload initiator utilities for Red Hat, use the following
command:
# rpm -e iscsi-initiator-utils-
SLES
Install HP NC-Series iSCSI Offload Initiator Utility for SLES
Install the HP NC-Series iSCSI Offload Initiator Utilities for SLES RPM package:
1.
Change to the linux\iscsi-offload directory on your hard drive and use the following command:
# rpm -ivh open-iscsi-
2.
Build the binary RPM for the open-iSCSI initiator utility using the following commands:
# cd /usr/src/redhat
# rpmbuild -bb SPECS/open-iscsi.spec
3.
Stop the iscsid daemon using the following command:
#/etc/init.d/open-iscsi stop

Check for the existence of a current version of the open-iscsi initiator utilities package using the
following command:
# rpm -q open-iscsi

# rpm -e open-iscsi
Verify that the old package has been removed using the following command:
# rpm -q open-iscsi

Install the open-iscsi binary RPM package using the following command:
# rpm -ivh RPMS/
