2 Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
Caution
• Always turn off the printer and unplug the power cord before cleaning or maintenance.
Accidentally leaving the printer on poses a risk of injury if you touch moving parts inside
the printer.
3 Open the Spectrophotometer Unit Cover.
4 Press down on the center (near the blue label) of
the Up-down Unit to lower the Up-down Unit.
5 Open the Up-down Unit cover.
6 Grasp the part with the blue label in the central
part of the Spectrophotometer Carriage and
move it to the position shown in the diagram.
