Installation

3.1 Notes on installation

3.2 Storage and transport

• Since the sensor is made out of glass it is very fragile. Avoid shocks of any kind.
• Do not touch or scratch the gold electrode.
• Store the sensor in its original packing in a dry, dust-free location. Keep it away from dirt. If

necessary, clean it as described on page 35.

INFORMATION!
Inspect the cartons carefully for damages or signs of rough handling. Report damage to the
carrier and to the local office of the manufacturer.

INFORMATION!
Do a check of the packing list to make sure that you have all the elements given in the order.

INFORMATION!
Look at the device nameplate to ensure that the device is delivered according to your order.
Check for the correct supply voltage printed on the nameplate.

CAUTION!
Do not store the sensor tip dry. This will shorten the lifetime considerably.
Always store the sensor tip wet in a 3 molar KCl solution when not in use. Saltless water must be
avoided since this would leak the KCl ions. The original packing in which the sensor tip was
delivered contains a plastic tube with KCl solution and therefore is suitable for storage and
transport (refer to following drawing).
