4.1 General safety information
4.1.1 Scope
These instructions are applicable only to the explosion-protection version of the 
measuring chamber with 1 of these 3 options that follow:
• the explosion-protection version of the analog transmitter or
• the explosion-protection version of the limit switch or
• the explosion-protection versions of the analog transmitter and the limit switch.
For all other data, use the Quick Start and Handbook for the magnetic level indicator. If you do 
not have these documents, please contact the nearest sales office or download them from the 
website www.krohne.com.
4.1.2 Standards and approvals
• For the applicable European Standards and approvals for the measuring chamber, refer to
Standards and approvals
on page 4.
• For the applicable European Standards and approvals for the limit switch, refer to

on page 10.
• For the applicable European Standards and approvals for the analog transmitter, refer to

protection. The technical data in the handbook for the non-Ex version shall be valid in its current 
version, provided that they are not rendered invalid or are replaced by this ATEX supplement.

(ATEX 100a).

Carefully read the ATEX approval certificates for measuring chamber and the options that are 
attached to the measuring chamber. Obey the boundary conditions.
