Installation
Upgrading the Integration
If you are upgrading to this version of the Avigilon Jacques integration software, be aware
that this version of the integration is only compatible with Avigilon Control Center 5.
Avigilon Control Center 5 provides the ability to organize multiple servers into Sites and
share settings between servers. To use this feature effectively, you must upgrade all
servers in your Site before upgrading the integration.
This version of the integration can run both the Windows service and the Configuration
Tool at the same time, so two HLI tags are required. One HLI tag must be configured for
the Windows service and one for the Configuration Tool. For more information about HLI
tags, see Configuring Tags in Jacques HLI on page 3.
To upgrade the integration, simply run the installer and follow the prompts. After the
upgrade is complete, open the Configuration Tool and add the HLI tags for the integration.
Click Update Service to start the upgraded integration.
Server
Install the following on any server in your network. The applications do not need to be
installed on the same server.
1. The Avigilon Control Center Server software.
2. The Jacques High Level Interface for third party integration.
3. The Avigilon Jacques Gateway software integration.
Client
Install the following as needed:
• Install the Avigilon Control Center Client software on the computers that
require access to the Avigilon Control Center System
Checking the License
After you have installed all the required software, check that the Avigilon Third Party
Integration License (
ACC5-JAQS-INTCM) was properly applied.
