ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Extension Supports and Miter Lock Handle Attachment
1. InserttheendsoftheExtensionSupportsintotheholesinthesidesofthebase.TightentheScrews
toholdtheExtensionsinplace.TheupperedgeoftheExtensionswillbelevelwiththesurfaceof
thesaw.Thisprovidesawiderbasefortheworkpiecetoreston.
2. ThreadtheMiterLockHandleintotheopeningoftheMiterHandleuntilsecurelyinplace.
Attach the Dust Collection Bag
TheDustCollectionBagslipsovertheDustOutletbehindtheBladeHousingAssembly.Sawdust
createdbycuttingiscapturedinthebag.
Saw Mounting
TheMiterSawmustbemountedonasupportbeforeuse.Thismaybeacommerciallyavailablesup-
portorhomemadesawtable.Thereareboltholesprovidedineachofthefourlegsofthebase.These
legsshouldbefirmlymountedusingbolts(notincluded)toyoursawstandorsawtable(notincluded).
Thiswillhelppreventtippingormovementofthesaw,preventinginjury.Also,theuseofasawtablewill
makeiteasiertoefficientlyhandleworkpiecesandmakemoreaccuratecuts.
1. Designateaworkareathatiscleanandwelllit.Theworkareamustnotallowchildrenorpetsac-
cesstopreventinjuryandoperatordistraction.
2. Routethepowercordalongasaferoutetoreachtheworkareawithoutcreatingatrippinghazard
orexposingthepowercordtopossibledamage.Thepowercordmustreachtheworkareawith
enoughextralengthtoallowfreemovementwhileworking.
3. Useasawtable,sawstandorothermeanstosupporttheworkpiece.TheMiterSawmustbe
mountedinsuchawaythatthesurfaceisleveltotheground,andsupportsusedmustprovidea
surfaceonthesamelevelasthesawtable.Iftheworksurfaceandanyworkpiecessupportsare
notlevel,andonthesamelevel,unwantedbevelangleswillappearinthecutsresultinginpoor
joinery.
4. WorkpiecesmaybesecuredtothesawtableusingtheHoldDownClamporotherclampingde-
vices(notincluded).Securingtheworkpiecewillprovidesafetybypreventingkickbackandby
eliminatingtheneedtoholdworkpiecesnearthebladebyhand.Clampingtheworkpiecewillalso
improvecuttingaccuracybypreventingtheworkpiecefrommovingduringthecuttingoperation.
5. Whenusingthissaw,workpiecesareoftenquitelong.Allowroomonboththeleftandrightsidesof
sawforextendedworkpieces.
