Cannot maintain packing pressure or shanks will not

stay up in transport

Probable Cause

Solution

Seal damaged in shank
cylinder. Check o-rings on
meter engage valve also
make sure meter engage
switch is shut off.

Pressure shanks up and keep locked on. Undo
main bridle hoses on the rod end of cylinder on
both ports.  If oil is flowing out of a hose, then
it is that rank on that wing that has a seal leak.
Move down that rank, undoing the hoses on
the rod end of each cylinder. When the oil quits
flowing, it is the previous cylinder with the faulty
seal. Replace cylinder seal(s) and repeat process
in case of more than one faulty seal.

Wing hydraulic system does not maintain pressure

Shanks will not go down under pressure

Wings do not rise

Probable Cause

Solution

Pivot points are too tight
or seized.

Loosen up pivot points about 1/8 of a turn. Don’t
over loosen them.

Probable Cause

Solution

The “IN” pressure gauge
indicates less than 1200 psi.

Inspect quick couplers to ensure complete en-
gagement.

Check 7-plex wing down
value (only on 7-plex
machines (72 ft. and up)).

Remove, inspect o-rings, clean and replace car-
tridge if necessary.

Wing lift cylinder piston
leaking.

Remove hose from rod end of cylinder. If oil dis-
charges, seal is leaking. Remove and replace seal.

Probable Cause

Solution

The “IN” pressure gauge
indicates less than 1200
psi for smaller implements
and less than 2100 psi for
larger implements.

Inspect quick couplers to ensure complete en-
gagement. Check to see that the circuit is putting
out enough pressure.

Wing cylinder piston seal
leaking.

Remove hose from rod end of cylinder. If oil dis-
charges, seal is leaking. Remove and replace seal.

Toolbars

Gates will not open/close

Openers will not lift

Random opener sections lifting

Wing down switch will not work

Probable Cause

Solution

No hydraulic pressure to
meter block.

Engage hydraulic circuit (wing down).

Check SCT

®

node

Check lights on front of node

Meter block PRV (pressure
relief valve) set too low.

Increase PRV pressure until gates cycle (do not
exceed 500 psi).

No power at coils.

Turn master switch on.
Check fuses.
Check connections at coil and SCT

®

node.

Probable Cause

Solution

No hydraulic pressure to
meter block.

Engage hydraulic circuit (opener).

Meter block PRV (pressure
relief valve) set too low.

Increase pressure (factory set to 2200 psi).

No power at coils.

Turn master switch on.
Check fuses.
Check connections at coil and SCT

®

node.

Probable Cause

Solution

Improper look aheads.

Ensure that the look ahead number is not a neg-
ative number.

Agressiveness set too high. Turn aggressiveness off.
Improper drill setup.

Check drill setup.

Probable Cause

Solution

No hydraulic pressure.

Engage hydraulic circuit (wing down).

Master switch on.

Turn master switch off (unfold only).
