2. Safety
Before using the new scale, please take a little time to read the following safety
instructions.
Warnings
• When adjusting the height of the screw
feet of the chair scale, ensure that the
screw is screwed at least 15 mm into
the frame. If you screw the screw foot
less than 15 mm into the frame, there is
a risk of the screw foot breaking off and
the occupant of the chair scale being
injured.
• Never use the seca 955 chair scale for
transport purposes. Do not use
seca 955 chair scale to transport peo-
ple or objects. If you transport people
or objects using the chair scale, there is
an acute risk of injury.
• Never place the seca 955 chair scale
on sloping surfaces. The brakes on the
casters could be released.
• Prevent the scale from rolling away ac-
cidentally. Use the wheel brake when
the patient is sitting down or getting up
and assist people who are unsteady on
their feet.
• When using the scale with a mains unit,
ensure that the supply cable is routed in
such a way as to exclude any type of
tripping hazard.
