PRObLEMS
(SYMPTOMS)
Major Physical or Electrical
Damage is Evident
The Machine is dead. The Input
contactor does not operate.
Input contactor (CR1) chatters.
Variable or sluggish welding arc.
Output Control Pot. not functioning
in “LOCAL” control.
No output control in “REMOTE”
control.
115VAC GFCI receptacle not
working. (60HZ machines only)

1. Check for blown or missing fuses
in input lines.
2. Check the three phase input line
voltage at the machine. The
input voltage must match the rat-
ing plate and reconnect panel.
3. Power ON/OFF switch may be
defective.
1. The input line voltage may be
low. Check all three phases.
2. Make sure input line voltage
matches machine rating and the
reconnect panel is connected
correctly for the line voltage.
1. Poor electrode or work lead con-
nection.
2. Welding cables too small.
3. Welding current or voltage too
low.
1. LOCAL/REMOTE Switch (S3)
faulty or in wrong position.
2. Faulty OUTPUT CONTROL Pot.
1. LOCAL/REMOTE Switch (S3)
faulty or in wrong position.
2. Faulty Remote Control Unit.
1. 115VAC Circuit Breaker tripped.
