NOTE
For posts with round holes, use the clip nuts on the rack uprights for securing M6 x 1.0 x 12 screws. For posts
with square holes, use the retainer nuts. Refer to
Figure 3 .

If you are mounting the switch in a flush configuration, go to “Flush mounting the VDX 8770-8 in the rack” on
page 7.
If you are mounting the switch in a recessed configuration, go to “Recessed mounting the VDX 8770-8 in the
rack” on page 9.
Flush mounting the VDX 8770-8 in the rack
1. Move the lift with the switch in front of the rack and adjust the height to match the installed rails.
2. If applicable, lock the wheels of the lift.
CAUTION
Use safe lifting practices when moving the product. (C015)
3. Gently slide the switch onto the rack, ensuring that it remains supported during the transfer. See Figure 4 .
