AIR VANTAGE
®
650 CUMMINS
BREAK-IN PERIOD
No break in period is required for the Cummins
engine.
RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS
The AIR VANTAGE
®
650 CUMMINS provides excellent
constant current DC welding output for stick (SMAW)
and TIG welding. The AIR VANTAGE
®
650 CUMMINS
also provides excellent constant voltage DC welding
output for MIG (GMAW), Innershield (FCAW),
Outershield (FCAW-G) and Metal Core welding. In
addition the AIR VANTAGE
®
650 CUMMINS can be
used for Arc Gouging with carbons up to 1/2”(13mm)
in diameter.
The AIR VANTAGE
®
650 CUMMINS is not recom-
mended for pipe thawing.
AIR COMPRESSOR
The AIR VANTAGE
®
650 CUMMINS provides 60 scfm
at 100 psi. compressed air for Arc Gouging and Air
powered tools.
GENERATOR
The AIR VANTAGE
®
650 CUMMINS provides smooth
240 VAC single phase and 415V three phase output for aux-
iliary power and emergency standby power.
ADD FUEL
• Stop engine while fueling.
• Do not smoke when fueling.
• Keep sparks and flame away
from tank.
• Do not leave unattended while
fueling.
• Wipe up spilled fuel and allow
fumes to clear before starting
engine.
• Do not overfill tank, fuel expan-
sion may cause overflow.
DIESEL FUEL ONLY-Low sulphur fuel or ultra low
sulphur fuel in U.S.A. and Canada.

• Remove the fuel tank cap.
• Fill the tank. DO NOT FILL THE TANK TO THE
POINT OF OVERFLOW.
• Replace the fuel cap and tighten securely.
• See Engine Ownerʼs Manual for specific fuel recom-
mendations.
HAND PRIMER BUTTON
Air in the fuel system will cause the following engine
problems:
• Hard to start
• Run rough
• Misfire
• Fuel knock
For faster air purge, a small amount of air can be
vented from the system by pumping the hand primer
button on the fuel filter head. (See Engine Service
Side View)
