How do I adjust pressure relief? - On the Inlet section, there is a silver 1/2” [12.7mm] hex cap and lock nut. Remove the hex
cap and loosen the nut. Adjust the pressure setting using a 5/32” [3.9mm]” Allen wrench. One full clockwise rotation is
300psi [20.7bar]
Mounting Surface – The valve must be mounted on a flat surface. It is important not to bend or twist the castings when
mounting because this may cause the spools to bind.
Can I paint my valve? – Painting valves is okay as long as the following precautions are taken: 1- All ports must be plugged
and 2- the spool must be masked or taped off completely. Any paint on the spool will cause leakage when it chips off.
Warranty is void if any valve is returned with paint on the spool.
How do I assemble valve sections?
Inlet Section:
First, make sure that the machined mounting surfaces of the sections, the section washers and o-rings are clean of
contaminates. Next, install three (3) split washers and 9/16” [14.3mm] nuts to the tie rods. Follow this by installing the three
(3) tie rods into the mating holes in the Inlet valve section. At this point, the washers and nuts on the tie rods should be facing
away from the flat, machined surface on the Inlet section.
Work Sections:
Now, add the first Work section of your stack valve. Begin by installing three (3) thin, flat washers, which came with the
work section, on to the tie rods. Slide these washers all the way up against the machined side of the Inlet section. Next, make
sure that work section o-rings are clean and free of contamination and installed into the work section. Finally, slide the entire
work section with the o-rings facing the machined side of the Inlet section all the way down the tie rods. Repeat for the
remaining work sections.
Outlet Sections:
Finally, install the Outlet section following the same procedure as the Work sections. Install the remaining split washers and
nuts, then hand tighten.
Finish assembling the valve by tightening the tie rod nuts to the correct toque setting: see “What is the correct torque for the
tie rod nuts?” below. Be sure the mounting feet are flat against the table while the nuts are tightened to the torque setting.
If your Outlet section came ordered with the Power Beyond, i.e. the “W” model callout, install the power beyond cartridge
per “Can I convert my valve to utilize “Power Beyond?” below.
How do I assemble the handle(s) to my valve once it has been assembled?
“A” Style, i.e. Joystick: See Figure 2.
“B” Style: See Figure 3
“C” Style: See Figure 4
