The Extron MediaLink for iPad program is an AV control system application for use on the Apple
®
iPad. This App provides an additional
point of control for rooms in which an Ethernet-enabled MLC 104 IP Plus or an MLC 226 IP MediaLink controller is installed.
System Requirements
The following is required to run MediaLink for iPad:
z
iPad with iOS software version 5.0 or later
z
MLC 104 IP Plus or and MLC 226 IP configured with GC 3.0 or later
z
Network connection
NOTE: Guided Access can be used to lock the iPad into this app. Guided Access also allows you to disable controls in the app
(for example, disable the action button in the navigation bar to prevent access to Room Manager). For more information, visit

Control Surface
On the Control Surface screen, you can select and control MediaLink controllers and their connected devices.

Control panel buttons — Represent the buttons
on the front panel of the MLC connected to the iPad.
Tapping these buttons has the same effect as pressing
the buttons on the MLC.
NOTE: Lockout PIN numbers and the 2-second
power-down feature are not supported via the
iPad.

Room button and list — Tap this button to open the
Rooms pop-over list of the MLCs (“rooms”) that are
available for connection.

Actions button and list — Tap this icon to display
the Action Sheet, from which you can select to display
the Room Manager screen or the Settings screen (see
on the next page to use the Settings
screen).

Control module indicators: If additional control
modules are attached to the displayed controller,
one or more dots are displayed at the bottom of the
Control Surface. To view the next or previous control
module in order, swipe right or left with
one finger.
Room Manager
On the Room Manager screen, you can enter information
to enable the iPad to connect to MLC controllers (rooms)
on the network. This screen contains the following:

Control button — Click this button to display the
Control Surface screen.

Rooms list — Contains names of rooms (MLC
controllers) that have been added. Each room must
have a unique name.

To view room information: Tap the name of
the room. Its settings are displayed in the Room
Manager Connection Settings (right) pane.

To delete a room: Swipe over its name with one
finger, then tap the red Delete button at right.
