Replacing system components
8.3.1
Replacing passive components
Passive components include all components that the controller cannot
recognize.
These include:
MIQ power supply modules
DIQ/JB
DIQ/CHV
Cables (SNCIQ, SACIQ).
Warning
If the DIQ/S 182 XT-4 and MIQ/PS power supply module is opened
during operation, there is a danger to life due to possible hazard
of electric shock. Before opening the Universal Transmitter,
switch off the system and, if necessary, all external relay circuits
that present a hazard of electric shock and secure the system
against being switched on again.
Only ever replace components when the system is switched off.
Defective components are removed in the reverse order to the
installation (see chapter 3 I
8.3.2
Adding and replacing IQ sensors
Inactive datasets of
IQ sensors
If an IQ sensor is removed from the system, its settings remains stored
in the DIQ/S 182 XT-4 as an inactive dataset. A dataset contains the
following information:
Serial number of the IQ sensor (and, with it, the type of sensor)
Display position
All sensor settings
All characteristics of the link with an output.
If no suitable inactive dataset is available, a newly connected IQ sensor
is recognized and added automatically.
Note
The DIQ/S 182 XT-4 can display and administrate up to four main
measured parameters. If necessary, an inactive dataset has to be
erased to be able to add a new sensor.
Note
The current calibration data of the IQ sensor is always stored in the
sensor. If an IQ sensor is connected that is ready for operation and
calibrated, this can be used immediately without the need for
recalibration.
