INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Straighten the front wheels on the vehicle and chock the rear wheels.
2. Jack up the front of the vehicle and place jack stands under the frame rails. Lower the vehicle onto the jack stands.
3. Remove the tires / wheels.
4. Installation in performed one side at a time. Starting on the Driver side. Remove the tie rod from the knuckle using a
22mm wrench. Remove the tie rod from the knuckle by striking the knuckle as shown. Retain the hardware for reuse.
See Photo 1.
5. Remove the tie rod from the vehicle using a 36mm or equivalent wrench.
6. Using a tape measure, record the total length of the tie rod and the location of the tie rod end. This will ensure the
vehicle stays in alignment when the tie rod is reinstalled. The stock jam nut will not be reused. See Photo 2.
7. Disassemble the tie rod as shown in Photo 2 using two 22mm wrench.
8. Install the New Rough Country sleeve on the tie rod as shown in Photo 4. Make sure the sleeve is threaded to the
correct location on the stock tie rod as recorded in Step 6 and reinstall the stock tie rod end.
9. Tighten using two 22MM wrenches. See Photo 5.
10. Apply a thread locker to the threaded end of the tie rod
and reinstall the tie rod in the vehicle as removed from the
steering assembly with a 36mm or equivalent wrench and
reinstall on the knuckle using a 22mm wrench. Tighten
hardware to factory specifications.
11. Install the tires and wheels.
12. Jack up the vehicle and remove the jack stands.
13. Lower the vehicle to the ground.

MAINTENANCE INFORMATION
It is the ultimate buyers responsibility to have all bolts/nuts checked for tightness after the first 100 miles and then after
every 1000 miles. Wheel alignment steering system, suspension and driveline systems must be inspected by a qualified
professional mechanic at least every 3000 miles.
