JEEP JK,TJ & YJ SPARE TIRE BRACKET
Thank you for choosing Rough Country for all your suspension needs.
Please read instructions before beginning installation. Also please review tools needed list and make sure you have
needed tools.
This bracket is intended for use with up to a 33” x 12.50 tire. Using this kit with larger than a 33” x 12.50” tire is
not recommended and can cause damage to the rear gate if used.
Kit Contents:
1-Spare Tire Bracket
1-Poly Bag Containing:
3-1/2”
Lock Nut
3-1/2” Flat Washers
1-9/16” Flat Washer
1-1/2” Non Locking Nut

Tools Needed:
3/4” Socket
Installation Instructions
1. Remove the spare tire from the spare tire carrier using a 3/4” socket.
2. Identify the appropriate pattern for TJ or JK and install the wheel studs in the spacer.
3. A non-locking nut & 9/16” flat washer is supplied to install the wheels studs. See Photo 1.
4. At this time using the supplied flat washers and non locking nuts, tighten using a impact & 3/4” socket until the
wheel stud splines are fully engaged.
5. Remove the non locking nuts and flat washers and discard.
6. Install the spare tire spacer as shown in Photo 2 using the supplied 1/2” nuts & 1/2” flat washers. Tighten using a
3/4” wrench.
7. Install the spare on the spare tire spacer with the stock lug nuts. Tighten using a 3/4” socket.
Post Installation
1. Re torque all fasteners after 500 miles. Visually inspect components and re torque fasteners during routine vehicle
service.
