W ith the serial number, you can access the delivery data of the
instrument via www.vega.com, "VEGA Tools" and "serial number
search". In addition to the type label outside, you can also find the
serial number on the inside of the instrument.
3.2 Principle of operation
VEGABAR 52 4 … 20 mA/HART - climate compensated is a pressure
transmitter for measurement of gauge pressure or vacuum under
difficult climatic conditions (cold medium and warm humid environ-
ment). Measured products are gases, vapours and liquids.
S ensor element is an encapsulated CERTEC ® absolute pressure
measuring cell with rugged ceramic diaphragm. The process pressure
causes a capacitance change in the measuring cell via the ceramic
diaphragm. This capacitance change is converted into an electrical
signal, compared with an integrated reference pressure measurement
and outputted as measured value via the output signal.
T he CERTEC ® measuring cell is also equipped with a temperature
sensor. The temperature value can be displayed via the indicating and
adjustment module or processed via the signal output.
T wo-wire electronics 4 … 20 mA/HART for power supply and
measured value transmission over the same cable.
T he supply voltage range can differ depending on the instrument
version.
T he data for power supply are specified in chapter "Technical data".
T
he background lighting of the indicating and adjustment module is
powered by the sensor. Prerequiste is a certain heigt of the operating
voltage. You can find the exact voltage specifications in chapter
"Technical data".
T he optional heating requires its own operating voltage. You can find
details in the supplementary instructions manual "Heating for indicat-
ing and adjustment module".
T his function is generally not available for approved instruments.
