Adjustable low rpm module
Adjustable Low RPM Module
PN 8677
This Adjustable Low RPM Module is designed to be used with any of the MSD Rev Control components
or accessories that use the standard white MSD RPM Modules. It cannot be used on the MSD Engine
Governor, PN 8725.
Note: Solid core spark plug wires cannot be used with an MSD Ignition Control or MSD Timing and
RPM Accessories.
OPERATION
The Adjustable Module has a screw in its side that controls the rpm amount. The range of limit is from
about 1,000 – 3,000 rpm, depending on the application. One turn is roughly equal to 100 rpm. The
Module is set at the factory with the adjusting screw turned all the way in which is the highest rpm.
Parts Included:
1 – Adjustable Low RPM Module
1 – Small Screw Driver
Note: The adjusting screw is a multi-turn
pot. This means that it will still
turn even when the minimum or
maximum rpm is reached.
The best way to set the desired rpm is
with an MSD Ignition Tester, PN 8998.
The Tester will simulate the ignition
running so the Module can be set
without running the engine. If a Tester
is not available, run the engine and set
the rpm using a tachometer.
WARNING: High voltage is present on the coil terminals. Do not touch the coil terminals
when the engine is cranking or running.
ONE TURN = APPROXIMATELY 100 RPM
CW = INCREASE RPM LIMIT
CCW = DECREASE RPM LIMIT
