6 Outgoing Calls
6.1 Making Calls
6.1.1 Calling an Extension
To make a call to another extension, do the following:
H.323 Phones
1) Lift the handset and wait for a dial tone.
2) Dial the desired extension number and wait for an answer.
SIP Phones
1) Lift the handset and wait for a dial tone.
2) Dial the desired extension number, tap the Call button, and wait for
an answer.
Note:
Note: Instead of dialing the number using the keypad, you can use
speed dialing keys. For more information, see 6.6 Speed Dialing
on page 37. (For SIP phones you always have to tap the Call
button in order to initiate a call.)
6.1.2 Calling an External Number
To make an external call, do the following:
H.323 Phones
1) Lift the handset and wait for a dial tone.
2) Dial the external access code and the desired external number and
wait for an answer.
SIP Phones
1) Lift the handset and wait for a dial tone.
2) Dial the external access code and the desired external number, and
tap the Call button.
