IRREGULAR OPERATION

In the case of malfunctions the Start&Stop system is
disabled. The driver is informed of the problem by
the general failure warning light A fig. 71 switching on
with an information message (where provided) and
the system failure symbol B fig. 71 in the instrument
panel.
Contact a Fiat Dealership.

CAR INACTIVITY

WARNING

When replacing the battery, always go
to a Fiat Dealership. Replace the battery

with one of the same type (HEAVY DUTY) and
with the same specifications.

In the case of car inactivity, special attention must be
paid during disconnection of the battery power
supply.
Proceed as follows: disconnect connector A fig. 72
(by pressing button B) from the sensor C, which
monitors the charge status of the battery and is
installed on the negative pole D of the battery itself.
This sensor should never be disconnected from
the battery pole except if the battery is replaced.

EMERGENCY STARTING

When jump starting, never connect the negative lead
fig. 73 of the auxiliary battery to the negative
pole A fig. 73 of the car battery, rather to an
engine/gearbox earth point.
