❒ use of the vehicle for short drives, in which the
engine does not have time to reach its regular
operating temperature;
❒ repeated interruption of the regeneration process,
signalled by the DPF warning light coming on.
WARNING
If the warning light comes on, the
exhausted engine oil should be changed
as soon as possible, never drive more than 500
km from the first switching-on of this warning
light. Failure to observe the above may result in
severe damage to the engine and invalidate
the warranty. Remember that the operation of
this warning light is not related to the amount
of oil in the engine. Therefore, do not simply top
up when the light starts flashing.
For versions/markets where provided:
the warning light
switches on and flashes along
with the message on the display (where provided)
when the system detects that the engine oil is
exhausted.
The flashing of the warning light should not be
considered as a fault, it simply informs the driver that
oil needs to be changed after normal use of the car.
If the oil is not changed, when a second
deterioration threshold is reached, the warning light
also switches on in the instrument panel and
the engine operation is limited to 3000 rpm.
If the oil is still not changed, when a third
deterioration threshold is reached, the engine is
limited to 1500 rpm to avoid damage.
To avoid damaging the engine it is
advisable to change the engine oil when
the warning light
flashes. Go to
a Fiat Dealership.
“DUALDRIVE” ELECTRIC POWER
STEERING FAILURE (red)
The warning light comes on when the ignition key is
turned to MAR-ON, but it should switch off after
a few seconds.
If the warning light stays on, you will not benefit from
the electric power steering and the effort needed
to turn the wheel will be greatly increased, although
it will still be possible to steer the car. Contact a
Fiat Dealership.
On some versions the display shows the dedicated
message.
START & STOP SYSTEM
DEACTIVATION (amber)
The warning light comes on when the Start&Stop
system is turned off by pressing the button on the
dashboard. A corresponding message may be
displayed on some versions.
