Preparing the MONSTER BOX for lifting by crane:
• For SAFE rigging and lifting practices, refer to ASME B30 series; Safety Standard for Cableways, Cranes,
Derricks, Hoists, Hooks, Jacks, and Slings. (See
www.asme.org
and European Directive 98/37/EC (Machinery).)
• Always inspect the lifting rings to ensure they are in proper working order and are not damaged or corroded.
Replace any damaged rings prior to rigging.
• Secure doors or lids of box to prevent unwanted opening or spilling of contents.
• Plan route of lifted box so that it does not pass over persons. Clear area of persons after box is connected and
tension is established.
• LIFT ONLY by lifting lugs, DO NOT lift by handles, they are not designed to support heavy loads.
• Rig for lifting using all (4) available lifting rings. The load rating is based on using all (4) lifting rings.
