No sound.
Possible cause
The volume is turned down too low.
Corrective action
Use the [VOL +/-] button to adjust the volume level.
Files in the VOICE (A-D) folders cannot be played.
Possible cause
The file name is wrong.
Corrective action
If you change the file name on a computer, then move the file back to the
VOICE (A-D) folder, you cannot play the file on the unit. Transfer the file to
the MUSIC (M) folder to play it.
Possible cause
The audio file is not in the type of WAV format that is supported by the
unit.
Corrective action
The unit will not play back a WAV file that was not recorded on the unit.
Files in the MUSIC (M) folder cannot be played (correctly or at all).
Possible cause
The file is not in a playable format.
Corrective action
Use MP3 or WMA files.
Possible cause
The audio file is not in the type of PCM (WAV) format that is supported by
the unit.
Corrective action
The unit will not play back a WAV file that was not recorded on the unit.
Possible cause
The file was transferred to an incorrect destination.
Corrective action
The unit will not play files that were transferred from a computer to a
folder other than the MUSIC (M) folder. Be sure to transfer the file to the
MUSIC (M) folder on the Removable Disk.
Possible cause
The file is not compatible with the unit.
Corrective action
Create a file using different MP3/WMA encoder software.
Possible cause
The files listed in the Playlist are missing from the MUSIC (M) folder.
Corrective action
Delete the file names from the Playlist. Alternatively, transfer the missing
files to the MUSIC (M) folder.
Possible cause
A different transfer method was used.
Corrective action
Files protected by copyright cannot be played if they are transferred via
Explorer. Use Windows Media Player to transfer the files (see
