Answering system
Answering system set up
The answerng system uses voce prompts to gude you through feature set up.
Press / PLAY/STOP anytme to save and ext the SET UP menu.
Set number of rings
Ths feature allows you to select the number of rngs before the answerng
system answers. You can choose from two, four or sx rngs or toll saver. Wth
toll saver selected, the answerng system answers after two rngs f you have
new messages, and after four rngs f you have no new messages.
To set the number of rngs:
Press SET UP when the phone s not n use. The system announces the
current number of rngs settng.
Press
/SKIP or /REPEAT untl the system announces the desred settng,
then press SET UP to save the settng and go to the next settng, or press
/PLAY/STOP to save and ext set up mode.
If you subscrbe to caller ID/call watng and vocemal servce through your
telephone servce provder, you can use your telephone answerng system and
vocemal together. Set your answerng system to answer calls at least two rngs
earler than your vocemal s set to answer. For example, set your vocemal
to answer calls after sx rngs and set your answerng system to answer after
four rngs. By dong ths, f you are on a call, or f the answerng system s busy
recordng a message and you receve another call, the second caller can leave
a vocemal message.
