The answerng system
does not answer after
the correct number of
rngs .
• Make sure the answerng system s on . When the answerng system s on, the red lght on the
ANSWER ON/OFF key should be lt .
• If toll saver s actvated, the number of rngs changes to two when there are new messages
watng (see page 28) .
• If the memory s full or f the answerng system s off, the system wll answer after ten rngs .
• In some cases, the answerng system may be affected by the rngng system used by the local
telephone company .
The announcement
message s not clear .
• When recordng the announcement, make sure you speak n a normal tone of voce about nne
nches from the telephone base .
• Make sure there is no background noise (television, music, traffic, etc.) when recording.
The answerng system

The messages on the
answerng system are
ncomplete .
• If a caller leaves a very long message, part of t may be lost when the system dsconnects the
call after four mnutes .
• If the caller pauses for more than seven seconds, the system stops recordng and dsconnects
the call .
• If the memory on the system becomes full durng a message, the system stops recordng and
dsconnects the call .
• If the caller’s voce s very soft, the system may stop recordng and dsconnect the call .
