Insert the other jack plug into the headphone socket of your audio player (e.g. CD, MP or radio).
You can adjust the volume on your own audio player.
Do not set the volume extremely high, as this could cause irreparable damage to the speakers.
In fact, we advise you to set the volume lower than you are accustomed to, because the space between couch and canopy works as an
acoustic box and amplifies sound.
Cleaning
Always unplug the appliance and let it cool down before you clean it.
Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as petrol or acetone to clean the appliance.
Never use liquids such as alcohol, methylated spirits, petrol or acetone to clean the acrylic sheets, as this causes irreparable damage.
Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
Do not let any water run into the appliance.
Clean the protective goggles with a moist cloth.
Replacement
The light that the tanning lamps emit becomes less bright in time (i.e. after a few years in case of normal use). When this happens, you notice a
decrease in the tanning capacity of the appliance. To solve this problem, set a slightly longer tanning time or have the tanning lamps replaced.
The control panel of the appliance includes a counter that registers the number of operating hours.
To see the number of operating hours, select function •. Set the time to 00 and hold down the red \ button to display the number of
operating hours.
After 500 burning hours, œ appears on the left-hand side of the display. This means that the tanning power of the appliance has decreased so
much that replacement of the tanning lamps is advisable. Of course, you can choose to postpone replacement for a while by setting a longer
tanning time. The maximum number of hours the counter can display is 999. After it has reached this number, it starts to count upwards
from 000 again.
To reset the number of operating hours to 000, press the \ button, while time indication 00 and function symbol • are shown on the display.
Hold down the \ button and first press the + button and then the - button. If the œ was on the display, it disappears. The number of operating
hours is reset to 000.
Have the tanning lamps and/or starters replaced by a service centre authorised by Philips. They have the knowledge and skills required for this
job and the original spare parts for the tanning appliance.
If you really insist on replacing the tube lamps and/or starters yourself, proceed as follows:
1
Remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
Undo the screws of the end cover at the head of the canopy and remove the end cover. (Fig. 1)
First pull the acrylic sheet approx. 10cm out of the canopy (1). Then undo the snap strip on the rear side of the canopy (). (Fig. 15)
Do the same with the snap strip on the front side of the canopy.
5
Remove the acrylic sheet. (Fig. 16)
Now you can remove the tube lamps and the starters.
Note:You can now also clean the acrylic sheet, if you want.
Note:The lamps and/or starters in the couch and the canopy are replaced in the same way. The starters are located at one of the lamp ends.
6
To remove the lamps, turn them to the left or to the right so that you can lift them out of their holders.
7
To remove the starters, turn them to the left.
8
Insert new lamps and/or starters and follow the instructions above in reverse direction and order to reassemble the appliance.
9
Do not forget to fasten the end cover with the screws again.
HB595 only:
The HPA lamp of the face tanner may only be replaced by a service centre authorised by Philips.
Environment
The lamps of the appliance contain substances that can be harmful to the environment. When you discard the lamps, do not throw them
