Customising the Today screen
You can customise the Today screen using:
• A theme. This is a pre-packaged file that includes
a picture, colour scheme and new layout. It will
be a *.hme or *.cab file type.
• A picture file. This will only replace the
background of the Today screen.
Setting the theme for the Today
screen
To set the theme for the Today screen:
1. From the Today screen, tap Start > Settings.
2. On the Personal tab, tap Today.
3. On the Appearance tab, tap the required theme
for the Today screen.
4. Tap ok.
Setting a picture as the Today screen
background
To set a picture as the Today screen background:
1. From the Today screen, tap Start > Settings.
2. On the Personal tab, tap Today.
3. On the Appearance tab, tick the Use this
picture as the background checkbox.
4. Tap the Browse button to view the picture files.
5. Tap the file name of the selected picture.
6. Tap ok.
Setting information displayed on the
Today screen
To set the information displayed on the Today
screen:
1. From the Today screen, tap Start > Settings.
2. On the Personal tab, tap Today.
3. Tap the Items tab.
4. Tick the checkboxes for the items that you want
to display on the Today screen. You can also
set the order of the items on the screen, and set
extra options for some items such as Tasks.
5. Tap ok when you have finished.
TIP: You can copy the theme and picture files
to your phone from your PC using
ActiveSync, or download them from the
Internet.
