Setup
Connect to the Computer
You’ll need an IEEE-1284-compliant, parallel,
bi-directional interface cable.
1. Turn off the computer.
2. Turn off the printer (press and hold the Power/Reset button
for approximately 2 to 5 seconds).
3. Plug the parallel interface cable into the printer and secure
it with the wire clips.
4. Connect the other end of the cable to the parallel port on
the computer, and turn on the printer, then the computer.
Connect to Power
1. Insert power cord.
2. Connect to a grounded power outlet.
As a general safety precaution, do not use an
extension cord!
The lights on the control panel may flash once then
turn off.
