Problem 2:
Nothing happens when I turn on the printer.
Solution:
Check the power cord connection to the outlet. If you are
using a power strip, make sure it is turned on, and that a fuse
hasn’t blown or that a circuit breaker hasn’t tripped.
Problem 3:
The printer does not print when the computer sends
data.
Solutions:
1 Is the SEL light on? If not, press the SEL key.
2 Check that the interface cable is securely connected to
both the printer and the computer.
3 If you have the optional serial interface board installed,
check to be sure that it is firmly seated in the printer.
Problem 4:
I'm getting strange symbols, incorrect fonts, etc., when I
try to print a document.
Solutions:
1 Check to be sure that the printer driver you have selected
in your software matches the printer emulation.
Press SHIFT and SEL keys, then press GROUP key.
This will print a line showing the emulation you have
selected.
2 If you have embedded any printer commands in your
software, check to be sure that you entered them correctly.
