7 Tape Display for Time-Remaining
Display
Press the DISPLAY button to display
the time-remaining display. Then
press the RESET button to display the
size tape you are using in the
camcorder. This display will not be
recorded on the tape when it appears
in the viewfinder.

when you are using a 15-minute
tape.

when you are using a 20-minute
tape.

Note: If you use a tape other than the
above sizes, the time-remaining feature
will not operate properly.
8 Time Counter With Memory Stop
and Time-Remaining Display
• Press the DISPLAY button once to
display the time counter with the
battery level indicator in the
viewfinder.
• Press the DISPLAY button again to
turn on the time counter’s memory
stop feature. An M appears behind
the time counter display.
• Press the DISPLAY button again to
change the time counter to the time-
remaining display. “-:--” appears in
the viewfinder. When you first start
playing or recording a tape, it will
take the camcorder a minute or two
to calculate the time remaining on
the tape. After time remaining has
been calculated and displayed once,
it will be automatically updated and
readily available as long as the tape
remains in the camcorder.
• Press the DISPLAY button again to
remove these displays from the
viewfinder.
• These displays will not be recorded
on the tape when they appear.
