Configuration
The SaphIR K2 keypad requires
an IR connecting block such as
the Russound 857 for power and
communication with the compo-
nents and other K2 keypads. The
amp/receiver and other devices
receive commands from the 857
connecting block through 845.1
or 1584.1 micro emitters or by
direct connection to IR input jacks
on the components.
The Russound 1201A power sup-
ply for the 857 supports a maxi-
mum of four K2 keypads.
If the installation includes more
than one K2 keypad, you can tie
them together with a Russound
EZB-1SC connecting block. The
EZB-1SC is a parallel wiring
device for speakers or IR data
and power. This makes it a con-
venient point for connecting more
than one K2 keypad.
Multiple arrangements can be
linked together with successive
857s for increased capacity. See
pages 16 and 17 for connection
details.
