Troubleshooting NI
PXI-CardBus-8310 Cards
This appendix deals with troubleshooting methods for an
NI CardBus-8310-to-PXI system.
Caution To avoid potential issues with this configuration, please install the
NI CardBus-8310 driver before inserting the CardBus card.
Contacting Technical Support
While this appendix contains a number of troubleshooting tips for resolving
issues that may be experienced with NI CardBus-8310 cards, extreme cases
may require you to contact National Instruments Technical Support. You
can find that contact information in the
Technical Support and Professional
Services appendix of this manual.
You must be ready to give the following information prior to
troubleshooting the system.
• Name and model of laptop (exact model)
• Name of CardBus card controller
• Number of PCMCIA sockets (1 or 2 sockets)
• Which socket is being used
• Operating system version
• Third party cards: name, model and manufacturer—If there are
multiple cards, you will need all of the information provided
• Type of card
• Whether the card has a hardware bridge
• Application name and version
