Basic Operation
Guidance point*
The next turning point is shown by a yellow flag.
Destination*
The checker-flag indicates your destination
(1) Name of the street you drive next.*
If there is a number on a road, the number will be indicated next to the name of the road (only
when the road numbers are recorded in the disc).
(2) Distance to the guidance point*
(3) Current location
The current location of your car. The arrow shows your heading, and the display moves auto-
matically as you drive.
(4) Distance to the destination*
(5) Name of the street you are in
If there is a number on a road, the number will be indicated next to the name of the road (only
when the road numbers are recorded in the disc).
(6) Compass
The red arrow shows North.
(7) Map scale indicator
The figure gives the distance represented by the red bar. In Arrow View and Driver’s view, it
shows the scale of the map displayed on the right-hand side of the screen.
(8) Current time
(9) Estimated time of arrival (or travel time to your destination)*
(10) Tracking mark
The tracking mark shows the route your car has traveled.
(11) Map of your surroundings
(12) Distance to an intersection*
It is displayed in Arrow View and enlarged map of the intersection. The green bar gets
shorter as your car approaches an intersection.
(13) Next traveling direction*
(14) Area to Avoid*
This is indicated only when “Display Area to Avoid” is set to On. For details, see “Setting
Areas to Avoid” on page 75 and “Display Areas to Avoid” on page 92.

Information with the mark (*) appears only when the route is set.

You can display the current time and estimated time of arrival (or travel time to your desti-
nation) on the screen. For the details of setting, see “Travel Time Display” on page 94.

Tracking display shows about 125mile (200km) tracking of your car with a white dots.
When your car speed is under 3mile/h (5km/h), the dots are red. When your car speed is
more than 3mile/h (5km/h), but less than 12mile/h (20km/h), tracking shows in orange dots.
