Troubleshooting
Problem Cause Remedy
Camera will not
turn on
Batteries are not
installed Check if batteries are installed. If not,
install batteries.
Battery is installed
incorrectly
Check orientation of batteries.
Reinsert batteries according to the +-
symbols on the battery compartment.

No image on LCD

Camera is connected
to a PC LCD monitor is off when camera is
connected to a computer.
Camera is connected
to a TV LCD monitor is off when camera is
connected to a TV.
Image is displayed but
is hard to see
Image on LCD monitor may be hard to
see when taking pictures outside in
sunlight.
Shutter will not
release
Flash is charging
Pictures cannot be taken while the flash is
charging. Wait until charging is finished.
No available space on
SD Memory Card or in
the built-in memory Insert SD Memory Card with available
space or delete unwanted images. (p.26,

Recording Wait until recording is finished.
Picture is dark
Subject is too far away
in a dark environment,
such as a night scene
Picture becomes dark if subject is too far
away. Take picture within range of flash.
