Lens Hood

Use the lens hood to reduce flare and ensure maximum
image quality.

•Remove the lens hood from your lens before using the

camera’s built-in flash.

To attach a bayonet mount lens hood, fit the hood into
the bayonet mount on the end of the lens barrel, then turn
the lens clockwise until it stops.

If your lens and hood have
guide marks, align the red
line on the lens hood with the
red line on the lens, then turn
the lens hood clockwise until
the dot on the lens hood is
lined up with the line on the
lens.
