Troubleshooting
Frequent questions about the SICLOCK TC100 Configuration Tool and solutions
to problems are listed below.

Solutions to problems with the Configuration Tool
Question / problem
Cause / remedy
Authorization not possible in offline mode
The data do not include any authorization parameters. An online authorization
has to be made.
See Authorization (Chapter 7.2.2).
No connection can be established to the device

Check whether the IP address has been set correctly in the Configuration
Tool.

Check whether there is a network connection
•
Check whether the TCP:2155 port is enabled for the connection or is already
being used for another application.

An event cannot be acknowledged
It is a persistent indication that is queued in the device.
See also General functions (Chapter 7.2).
No interaction with the device in online mode (hourglass)
The connection to the device has been terminated and has to be re-established.

Parameter cannot be edited

The parameter is a display parameter
•
The current authorization level is too low
See Authorization (Chapter 7.2.2)

The parameter has no value.
In this case, the parameter has to be read from the device again.
Parameters and archives are displayed in a different language to that of the operator interface
The language set in the Configuration Tool is not available in the device.

Parameters are not written by upload
These are operationally critical parameters
, that are explicitly excluded from
an upload.
Such parameters have to be written individually.
