Selecting a font
❏ Make sure the printer is off-line ( ON LINE indicator is not lit).
❏ Press FONT to change the font selection. An indicator lights to the left of the
name of the font that is currently selected
Selecting the Quiet Print Mode
The Quiet Print Mode lets you print with less noise than that produced with normal
printing. Use the following procedure to enter and exit the Quiet Print Mode.
❏ Make sure the printer is on-line ( ON LINE indicator is lit).
❏ Press FONT , to toggle between the Quiet Print Mode and normal printing.
The QUIET indicator is lit when the Quiet Print Mode is selected, and is not lit
when normal printing is selected.
Changing the auto load position
Normally the printer automatically feeds paper to a standard position (1/6-inch from
the top of the paper). This is called the auto load position. You can use the following
procedure to specify a different auto load position.
❏ Make sure the printer is off-line ( ON LINE indicator is not lit).
❏ While holding down ON LINE , press FONT and then release the two buttons.
The printer will automatically eject the cut-sheet that is in the printer, or reverse
feed fanfold paper until it is no longer in contact with the platen. Also, all the
font and pitch indicators on the control panel will light.

Important!
Though the Quiet Print Mode prints more quietly, it also causes printing to take
considerably longer than normal printing.

❏ Assurez-vous que l’imprimante est hors ligne (voyant ON LINE éteint).
❏ Appuyez sur la touche FONT pour changer de police de caractères. Un voyant
s’allume à gauche du nom de la police de caractères sélectionnée.
Sélection du mode d’impression silencieux
Le mode d’impression silencieux permet de réduire considérablement le bruit
pendant l’impression. Effectuez les démarches suivantes pour entrer ou quitter le
mode d’impression silencieux.
❏ Assurez-vous que l’imprimante est en ligne (voyant ON LINE allumé).
❏ Appuyez sur FONT pour alterner entre le mode d’impression silencieux et le
mode normal.
Le voyant QUIET est allumé quand l’imprimante est en mode d’impression
silencieux et il est éteint quand le mode normal est sélectionné.
Changement de la position de chargement automatique
Normalement, l’imprimante avance le papier sur une position standard (1/6 pouce à
partir du haut du papier). Cette position est appelée la position de chargement
automatique. Vous pouvez changer cette position en effectuant les démarches suivantes.
❏ Assurez-vous que l’imprimante est hors ligne (voyant ON LINE éteint).
❏ Tout en tenant la touche ON LINE enfoncée, appuyez sur la touche FONT, puis
relâchez les deux touches.
L’imprimante éjecte automatiquement la feuille séparée, ou bien fait reculer le
papier continu de sorte qu’il ne soit plus en contact avec le cylindre. Tous les
voyants de police et de pas s’allument sur le panneau de commande.

Important!
Dans ce mode, le bruit d’impression est réduit, cependant le temps d’impression est
considérablement plus long qu’en mode normal.
