Scanning Basics
Your machine offers two ways to start scanning:
• From the Samsung SmarThru software: Launch Samsung SmarThru
and open the Scan Wizard to start scanning. See below.
• From TWAIN-compliant software: You can use other software including
Adobe PhotoDeluxe and Adobe Photoshop. See page 5.4 .
Note:
• To scan with your machine, you must install the MFP driver.
• Scanning is done through the same LPT or USB port that is currently
assigned for your printer port.

5.1 Scanning
Scanning Using the Samsung SmarThru
1.Make sure that your machine and computer are turned on and properly
connected to each other.
2. Load your document face down with the top edge first going into the
document feeder.
3. Adjust the document guides for the width of the document.
4. Slide the sheet down into the document tray until it is gripped by the
product.
