SAVING MENU SETTINGS
Use the following procedure to save menu settings on a
CompactFlash card or to load settings from a
CompactFlash card back into the unit. These functions
make it easy to use the same settings on a number of
different digital video recorders.

Call up
and hold the [STILL] button for at least 3
seconds.
The
(1) SAVE MENUS TO CF
This saves the menu settings to a CompactFlash card.
(2) LOAD MENUS FROM CF
This loads menu settings into the unit from a
CompactFlash card.

To leave the
screen, press the [ ] button.

Press the [
] or [
] button to select
“SAVE MENUS TO CF”, then press the
[ ] button.

“YES”, then press the [ ] button.
(1) The saving process begins.
(2) When this process has been completed, “SAVING
FINISHED!!” is displayed. A file named
“MENUCOPY.TXT” is created in the CompactFlash
card directory.
Use the following procedure to load menu settings saved
on a CompactFlash card back into the unit.

When loading a menu setting file into the unit, you will
be able to specify whether recording area settings are
to be copied.
Normally, “COPY RECORDING AREA SETTINGS”
should be set to “NO”. If set to “YES”, hard disk
initialization will be carried out as part of the loading
process, and all recorded data will be lost.
